As with Burning WoTLK Classic Gold Crusade Classic, Blizzard will provide a one-time character boost per account when Wrath of the Lich King Classic's launch, so that those who did not play WoW Classic in the past or Burning Crusade Classic can get familiar with the game and then jump into the recently released content. When asked if Wrath of the Lich King Classic would offer a paid deluxe edition similar to the one offered for Burning Crusade Classic--a bundle that upset a portion of the Classic community due to it introducing microtransactions to the previously microtransaction-free old-school MMO--Blizzard said it had nothing to announce at this time. Blizzard did mention, however it is true that items similar to the items in the deluxe edition was in WoW since the beginning, dating all the up to the Collector's edition of the original game in 2004. If you have picked up one of the first WoW collector's editions exclusive pets are now available in WoW Classic.

Blizzard clarified that a large portion of the changes for Wrath of the Lich King Classic originate from the community of players and that Blizzard insists is the main to every decision that the team takes, including what future expansions will receive to receive the "Classic" treatment next.

The only thing players will not have to make, however, is whether or not they want to move ahead with Wrath of the Lich King at all. In contrast to the release of Burning Crusade Classic, where Blizzard provided players with the option of keeping their characters in what it calls "Classic Era" servers or moving into The Burning Crusade, all existing Burning Crusade Classic servers will automatically be converted to Wrath of the Lich King Classic servers when the expansion's launch. Although Burning Crusade servers won't exist when Wrath of the King Classic's launch, Blizzard has left the possibility open to buy WoTLK Gold revisit the expansion at a later date.
