On February 28th On February 28, the Slayer skill will get one of the biggest updates ever since The Nodon Front released last July. The update comes in the form of RS Gold the new Slayer monsters that aim to spice up the support skill that is the top money-maker for a lot of RuneScape players. We already knew that this update would introduce three new Abyssal Slayer Creatures to RuneScape however, the developer Jagex has given us some additional details about the most important aspects of their drop table.
The largest item comes from Abyssal Lords that require the 115 Slayer to defeat. The massive demons drop a new melee weapon at tier 92 called The Abyssal Scourge. It is an update of the famous Abyssal Whip that was first added to the previous MMORPG around 17 years ago. Effective attacks against the Scourge will trigger an Abyssal Parasite effect, extending the duration of all melee bleeding abilities.
It's not only the Lords that are distinctive drops, either. The Abyssal Beasts (105 Slayer) will drop the Jaws of the Abyss Helmet an 85-tier melee power armor helmet. Similar to the others Abyssal Slayer creatures' drop it grants the different bleed abilities found in RuneScape.
The weaker Abyssal Savage creatures which require 95 Slayer to defeat don't have any unique drops. But, they are able to drop Abyssal armor spikes which are a consumable add-ons to Buy RS Gold upgrade existing Armor Spikes and modified Armor Spikes. This drop can be obtained from all three brand new Slayer monsters.
